April 2013)
Doman Kostick, Jr., age77, of Lublin, passed away on
Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. Funeral
services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Thorp Funeral
Home in Thorp with Pastor John Sindler officiating. Visitation will be held at
Thorp Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Doman Kostick, Jr. was born on May 20, 1935, on the family farm in the Town
of Roosevelt, rural Lublin, to Doman and Anna (Wienslaw) Kostick, Sr., and was
educated area schools. He was united in marriage to Annette Szemraj on July 20,
1963, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. In addition to
operating his own dairy farm, Doman also hauled milk for Bellinger Dairy for
many years and later worked for Raber Foods in Thorp until his retirement.
Doman loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing (especially for catfish) and
always looked forward to deer hunting season. He was a member of the Town of
Roosevelt Rod & Gun Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife,
Annette of Lublin; two children: Faye (Ken) Ryszkiewicz of Eau Claire, and Wayne
(Marcia) Kostick of Lublin; three grandchildren: Monica, Clayton, and Jacob; and
one great-grandchild to be born in May 2013. He is further survived by two
sisters: Irene Milas of Thorp and Helen Zajac of Hamilton, MT; nieces and
nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Doman was preceded in death by his
parents; and two brothers-in-law: Walter Milas and Edward Zajac.
