Richard Gotter won a five dollar gold piece as a prize
for a cheese that tested 96.75 at the cheese convention at Marshfield, held
there in November. Richard made the cheese while in charge of a cheese factory
at Rozellville last year, and is now employed at the A.C.F. Witt factory in this
place.
Mrs. Chas. Helm visited Mrs. Woelffer at Neillsville last week.
Henry helm autoed to Marshfield Friday with mrs. John Altenburg and children
Lucile and Florence, and Miss Etta Altenburg, where that day they visited their
sister, Mrs. James Tremelling.
The Sunday school entertainment will be
held Saturday, Dec. 22. The date of the 23rd in last week's paper was an error.
Mrs. Thayer, our school instructor, is training her scholars for a Xmas
entertainment at the close of school. The date of entertainment will be in the
paper next week.
The shower given Miss Frieda Williams last Saturday
evening held at the Wm. Sternitzky home was attended by about 75 people. She
received many beautiful and useful gifts. Miss Frieda will be married to Mr.
Gilbert Sternitzky in the near future.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Grassman
autoed to Neillsville one day last week, accompanied by Mrs. Chas. Helm.
Wm. Simpson went to Marshfield Saturday afternoon.
J.L. Keller has the
new addition to his store nearly completed.
Mr. and Mrs. Grover Keller
and children of St. Paul arrived Monday and are the guests of their aprents, Mr.
and Mrs. J.L. Keller.
Several of the August Arndt children of Neillsville
were guests of their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Hy. Sternitzky during
Thanksgiving week.
Mr. and Mrs. Arno Ross were Sunday guests of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Martin.
There was no Sunday school or services
by the minister Sunday p.m. The weather was so cold.
