Anderson, Rita Delia (Marriage - 12 July 1969)

Marriage vows were exchanged at the Presbyterian Church in Galesville Saturday at 2 p.m. by Miss Rita Delia Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson of Galesville, and Jon Harris Swenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson of Neillsville. The Rev. George Melcher officiated at a double-ring ceremony witnessed by 50 guests. Tea roses and white chrysanthemums decorated the church.

The bride’s white crepe, street-length dress featured Chantilly lace sleeves and a shoulder-length veil. She carried a bouquet of tea roses and white chrysanthemums.

Terry Nordal of Beloit was bestman. David Spaid of Belvidere, Ill. and Mark Anderson of Galesville served as ushers.

A wedding reception was held at a supper club with 50 guests attending.

The couple will reside at Westfield after August 4.

Mrs. Swenson is a graduate of Wisconsin State University-La Crosse, and has been employed as a girls’ physical education instructor at Westfield. Mr. Swenson is a graduate of Neillsville High School with the class of 1957 and also is a graduate of Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire, where he majored in mathematics and received his Master’s degree. He will begin his duties as principal of Westfield High School starting August 4.
