Felzkowski, Donna (11 JUL 1964)
On
Saturday, July 11, 1964, Miss Donna Mae Felzkowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Alois Felzkowski, route 3, Athens,, and David Wogernese, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Wogernese of Milan, were united in marriage at St. Anthony's Catholic
church, Athens, at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Ralph Geissler officiated at the
ceremony.
For her wedding the bride was attired in a gown of rosepoint
lace. Sequins enhanced the scalloped neckline and the rolled hem of the lace
tiered skirt and sequin dew drops sparkled in the braided rose which held her
bouffant veil. She carried a lace-covered prayer book topped with an orchid and
red roses.
Green peau de soie was chosen for the attendants' gowns and
yellow and white chrysanthemums were combined in their bouquets.
In the
bridal party were Mr. and Mrs. James Felzkowski as honor attendants, the Misses
Mary Jane Felzkowski of Athens, and Bonita and Angela Wogernese of Milan,
Kenneth Felzkowski of Athens, Dennis Wogernese of Milan and Jerome Horacek of
Abbotsford.
Mary Wogernese of Milan, as miniature bride, was dressed like
the bride and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations.
Duane Felzkowski
of Athens and Ronald Zobrak of Abbotsford performed the ushering duties.
Festivities of the wedding day included a wedding dinner and supper at the
church hall. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents and in
the evening there was dancing at Prochnow's Ballroom near Athens.
The
bride is a graduate of the Athens High School. Her husband, a graduate of the
Abbotsford High School, is attending Wausau Technical Institute.
