Baker, Donna (25 JUL 1964)
Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Voelker are making their home in Abbotsford where he is employed with his father
in the blacksmith business.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Voelker of
Abbotsford claimed Miss Donna Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Baker of
Dorchester, as his bride in a 2 o'clock ceremony performed July 25, 1964 at St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, with the Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating.
Attending the couple as honor attendants were the bride's sister, Miss Carol
Baker of Dorchester and her brother Richard Baker of Milwaukee. Miss Doris
Copeland of Dorchester and Jerold Weideman of Abbotsford completed the wedding
party.
A ballerina length gown of white satin with three-quarter length
sleeves was chosen by the bride for her wedding. It featured a bubble skirt with
white brocade flowers decorated with sequins and pearls. A flowered tiara held
her fingertip veil and white and pink roses were combined in her cascade
bouquet.
Her attendants were dressed alike in pink nylon sheaths with a
three-tier overskirt of satin and net. They carried cascade bouquets of pink and
white carnations.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the American
Legion Hall at Dorchester.
