Berry, Daniel A. (? - 18 July 1969)

Tragedy continued to stalk the highways of Clark County in the last week. The traffic toll was increased by two, to 11, for the year with the deaths of: Amy Beth Olstinski, four, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olstinski of Greenwood early last Wednesday evening; and Daniel A. Berry, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Berry of Rt. 1, Curtiss last Friday evening.

The Berry youth was killed instantly when he was jostled from the fender of a tractor operated by a brother, and fell beneath the rear wheel. His skull was fractured.

The death near Curtiss was the second involving a tractor within a week. The two deaths brought to six the number of highway fatalities on Clark County Highways in eight days.

The accident involving the Berry youth took place in the town of Hoard near the Taylor county line and about 5½ miles northwest of Curtiss.
