Smith, Arlene J. (4 OCT 1935 - 4 MAY 2013)
Arlene J. Smith, 77 of Owen, passed away peacefully with family by her side
at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
Arlene
was born on October 4, 1935, the daughter of Edward and Ella (Nelson) Mildbrand
in Curtiss, Wisconsin. She married Andrew Smith on July 19, 1952, at the
Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, WI.
She was a member of the church
quilting club, donating quilts overseas, was a member of the card club, was a
member of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed floral gardening, camping and spending
some winter months in Arizona. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She
will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband Andrew of Owen;
sons, Greg (Sheri) of Carbondale, CO; Gary (Sally) of Owen; Ken (Lynn) of Maple
Grove, MN; and Mike (Barb) of Marshfield; 11 grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Sharon) Mildbrand of Greenwood; and Jack
Mildbrand of Wausau; and a sister, Marge Witt of Abbotsford.
She is
preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Grace Pribbnow and Judy Howard.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at noon at the
Nazareth Lutheran Church, 1127 N. Division St., Withee, WI. Pastor Bonnie Cain
will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
Burial will take place at a later date.
