Krauter, Carol J. (8 AUG 1964)
Miss Carol Jean Krauter and James Thomas Hurley, both of Milwaukee, were
united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 8, 1964, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Krauter of Colby and Mr. and
Mrs. James Hurley of Milwaukee.
The bride was given in marriage for the 7
o'clock ceremony performed by the Rev. Harold Woodworth during which Mrs. L.
Prien sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Son of Ruth."
For her wedding the
bride chose a floor length gown of bouquet taffeta. The scoop neckline of the
long sleeved bodice was outlined with scalloped Alencon lace. The full flowering
skirt with its chapel train was appliqued with seed pearls. She carried a
bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.
Miss Sandra Krauter of
Milwaukee, as maid of honor, and Miss Linda Krauter of Colby, as bridesmaid,
were attired in street length dresses of chiffon over taffeta with sweetheart
neckline. Self-fabric roses trimmed the front of the waistline of the fully
gathered skirts. Aqua was chosen for the maid of honor and pink for the
bridesmaid. Their bouquets were made of matching carnations and yellow pompons.
Karl Luchterhand of Marshfield was the best man and Gary A. Krauter of Colby
was groomsman.
Terry Anderson and Eldon Westburg performed the ushering
duties.
The bride, who is a graduate of the Colby High School in 1960,
was employed at Astronautic Corp. of America in Milwaukee. Her husband was
graduated from the Bay ...(some of my article was missing)
The new Mr.
and Mrs. Hurley will make their home at 3401 W. Kilbourn, Milwaukee.
