Tews, Arthur (Muskie Catch - 1969)
Fishermen haven’t been bragging too
much about their catches thus far this year; but there is one in Neillsville who
could, well enough.
He is Arthur Tews, who has caught five Muskies and
now is one ahead of last year’s schedule, when he brought home eight. Actually
Tews has caught 21, but only five were “keepers”. They are running smaller,
perhaps, on the average, however. The largest this year measured 33 inches.
Except for an occasional bit of backsliding, Tews concentrates on Muskies
each year. He has “lost track of how many legal-sized Muskies I’ve caught, but
it was ‘way over 100,” he told The Clark County Press this week.
