Chili (24 July

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Behrens and family of Hebron, Ill., were weekend
guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Ziegler, to attend the wedding of her
sister, Peggy, to Verland Schofield, which took place Saturday at St. Stephen’s
Catholic Church in Chili.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Foemmel and their son and
his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Forest Foemmel and family held a picnic at Big Eau Plaine
County Park Sunday.
An open house was held Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4
p.m. in the basement of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church for the Rev. Bernard
Duffy.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hederer and family of Rome, N. Y., arrived
last Friday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Zimmerman, where they
will spend a three week’s vacation. Weekend guests were the Zimmermans’ son and
his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Zimmerman, and family of Naperville, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Tysver and family spent the weekend with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Clinton Fry in Milton.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elmhorst visited
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brandt, formerly of Chili, who now reside in
Lake Isadore.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dickerson this week are
their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Rach of Frankfurt, Ky., and
the Rach’s daughter, Mrs. Billy New of Lexington, Ky.
Mr. and Mrs. M. H.
Schroeder of Racine visited her sister, Mrs. Frieda Dahl, last Friday. Coming
Saturday was another sister, Mrs. Wilber Billman, and her husband. They also
visited her sisters and their husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Garbisch and Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Garbisch.
