Crandell, Mary Pearlett (12 Apr 1879– 18 May 1906)
Died, at her home near
Humbird, May 18, 1906, Mrs. Mary Pearlett Crandell, aged 27 years. Mrs. Crandell
was the daughter of Joshua and Alberta Monroe. She was born in Thompson’s
Valley, near Augusta, Apr. 12, 1879, and on Dec. 14, 1897, she was united in
marriage to Mr. John D. Crandell, of this place. To this union were born three
children, two of whom, Ernest D, aged 5 years, and Claire E, aged six weeks,
with her husband remain to mourn their loss. The funeral was held at the Free
Methodist church Sunday afternoon and was attended by a large number of her
friends, Rev. B.W. Hills officiating. The interment was in the town cemetery.
