Thornburg, Andrew Frank (? - 1969)
Word has
been received by Mr. and Mrs. Hibbard Krumholz of the death of their nephew,
Andrew Frank Thornburg, of Long Beach, Calif.
Frank was a 1951 graduate
of Lincoln High School (Alma Center) and enlisted in the Navy. He served aboard
the U S S Wisconsin and the U S S New Jersey during the Korean War, and also
aboard the U S S Platte and U S S Delta, achieving the rating of machinist first
class. He retired from service in 1965.
Survivors besides his wife and
children are his father, George Thornburg of Portland, Ore., and a sister, Mrs.
Alfred Fritsche of Waterford. Interment was in the National Cemetery at
Portland, Ore., with military rites.
