Drescher, Emma (19
January 1879 - 20 August 1969)
Miss Emma Drescher, 90, a resident of
Memorial Home, died Wednesday, August 20. Funeral services were held Friday at
1:30 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Dushek of the
United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Town of Grant
Cemetery.
Miss Drescher was born in the Town of Grant of Louie and Lena
(Jahr) Drescher, on January 19, 1879. She received her education there and was
employed in Milwaukee until she retired and returned to Neillsville.
She
is survived by a sister, Mrs. Flarie Turvey of Baldwin Park, Cal.
She was
a member of The United Methodist Church of Neillsville.
Pallbearers were:
Robert Drescher, Art Drescher, Carl Drescher, Frank Knoop and Leonard Drescher.
“Under His Wings” and “Jesus Savior Pilot Me,” were sung by Mrs. Heron Van
Gorden, accompanied by Mrs. Jas. A. Musil.
Those attending from out of
town included: Mrs. William Lindow and Mrs. Luther Lindow of Chili; Ed Jahr of
Granton, and Mrs. Elsie Raine and Lela Raine of Appleton.
