Hoesly, Leona (20 July 1900 - 24 August 1969)

Funeral services for Mrs. Baltz Hoesly, 69, of Rt. 1 Granton, were held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The rev. George M. Nelson officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery. She died Sunday in a Marshfield hospital.

The former Leona Kessler was born at Festina, Ia., July 20, 1900. She married Baltz Hoesly at St. Mary’s Church in Neillsville June 7, 1920. The couple operated a farm in the Town of York.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Irven Hoesly of Brookfield and Clarence Hoesly of Granton, two daughters Mrs. Donald (Kathleen) Degenhardt of Antigo and Mrs. William (Virginia) Manning of Chicago; two brothers, Carl Kessler and Frank Kessler, both of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Henry Andreska of Weyauwega; and 16 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Ronald Degenhardt, William Manning, Otto Lempke, Michael Hoesly, Craig Manning and Milford Rowe.
