Anderson, Wilma (8 APR 1909 - 22 AUG 1964)

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Anderson, 55, of Abbotsford, who died Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford. Mrs. Anderson was in ill health the past two years.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home at Abbotsford until noon Tuesday when it was taken to the church were services were held at two o'clock with the Rev. Charles Glidden officiating. Miss Bonnie Melvin was organist and accompanist for Miss Joan Pautz, who sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "My Faith Looks up to Thee."

The pallbearers for the interment, which was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery were Walter Gasch, L.F. Loucks, Archie Melvin, Francis Melvin, Howard Merwin and Howard Cendt.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Wilma Lenz, was born April 8, 1909, in Churchtown, Ia. She received her education in the Colby schools and the Marathon County Normal School and taught at March Rapids and in the Elderon area.

After her marriage to Gerhard Anderson at Colby, June 11, 1936, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson lived on a farm east of Abbotsford. Mr. Anderson preceded his wife in death in April 1963.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Lenz of Abbotsford and two brothers, Milton Lenz of Colby and Lavern Lenz of Abbotsford.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women's Association and the Social Corners' Homemaker's Club.
