Frane, Alvin M. (18 JAN 1908 - 22 AUG 1964)
The funeral of Alvin Mathias Frane, 56, rural Colby, was held Wednesday
morning, Aug. 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby. Burial was made in St.
Mary's Parish Cemetery, the Rev. John Pinion officiating. The body lay in state
since Monday at Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby. A Christian Mothers rosary was said
Tuesday evening at 8 p.m., and a general rosary at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Frane
died at his home in the town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.) last Saturday evening,
Aug. 22, 1964.
Alvin Frane was born in the town of Colby, Jan. 18, 1908,
and received his education in area schools. In 1941 he married Lila Hardrath in
Chicago. He spent his entire life in the town of Colby, with the exception of
two years when he worked as a truck driver in the Chicago area. He was a member
of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife; one son,
Dennis of Colby; two daughters, Jeanette and Mary Jane, both at home, three
brothers, Arthur of Abbotsford, Donald of Colby, and Edward of Royal Oak, Mich.;
three sisters, Mrs. William (Catherine) Roohr, Medford, Ore., Mrs. Myron
(Evelyn) Kneis, Cyrene, Mo., and Mrs. Matt (Lucille) Allar, Colby; and his
father, Victor Frane of Wittenberg, Wis. He was preceded in death by one
brother.
