Relatives and friends came from Moline and Kankakee, Ill., Cadillac and Niles, Mich., Milwaukee, Wausau, Schofield, Shawano, Medford, Stetsonville, Colby, Dorchester, Abbotsford and vicinity for the wedding of Miss Joann Intribus and Herman Schubert, Saturday, Aug. 22, 1964, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Intribus of the town of Holton and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schubert Sr., town of Medford.

The Rev. Gerald Schuh witnessed the marriage promises during a 10:30 o'clock nuptial high mass.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of French rosepoint lace with a chapel train. The bodice featured a scalloped Sabrina neckline and long sleeves. The full skirt was enhanced by a bias, pleated organza midriff. Her veil of English silk illusion was secured to a headpiece of organza petals. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white pompons.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Intribus Jr. of Shawano, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, and Miss Carol Kowalski of Kankakee, Ill, a cousin of the bride, adn Herbert Schubert of Medford, a brother of the groom, were the attendants.

Richard Schubert of Medford, another brother, and Joe Achko of Cadillac, Mich., a friend, performed the ushering duties.

The matron of honor, in royal blue, and the bridesmaid, in Kelly green, wore street length dresses of peau de soie. Their headpieces had small veils and matched their dresses. They carried nosegay bouquets of white pompons.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Intribus chose a tan sheath dress with matching jacket and accessories. Mrs. Schubert wore a blue sheath dress and matching accessories. Pink roses and white pompons were combined in their corsages, and white pompons were used in the corsage presented to Mrs. Mary Neubauer of the town of Hammel, a grandmother of the groom.

Festivities of the wedding day took place at the Trianon Ballroom with about 300 guests in attendance. Dinner was served at noon and a reception was held until 4 o'clock. In the evening a wedding dance was held.

Upper Michigan will be the area for the honeymoon trip planned by the newly married couple. On their return they will be at home in rural Dorchester.

The bride is a graduate of the Dor-Abby High School with the 1964 class. Her husband, a graduate of the Medford High School, is employed at Hurd's Mill in Medford.
