Guests who
came for the wedding of Miss Marilyn Krupka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Krupka Sr. of Stevens Point, and Edward R. Brehm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland
Brehm, route 1, Unity, were from Unity, Abbotsford, Colby, Marshfield,
Stratford, Auburndale, Milwaukee, La Cross, Butler, Adell, Waukesha, Junction
City, Oshkosh, Madison, Wis. Rapids and Bartlett and Chicago, Ill.
The
ceremony took place Saturday, Aug. 29, 1964 at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic
Church, Stevens Point. The Rev. S.P. Mieczkowski officiated at the nuptial high
mass.
The bride was attired in a floor length gown with a jewel trim
Sabrina neckline on the Chantilly lace bodice. The skirt had ruffles of Angel
mist taffeta edged with alce on the front panel and ended with a chapel sweep.
Her fingertip veil was secured to a forehead pearled crown with rose accent.
Miss Pat Krupka of Marshfield, as maid of honor, and Miss Margaret Brehm of
Route 1, Unity, as bridesmaid, wore street length dresses of powder blue acetate
taffeta with rounded necklines and skirts of un-pressed pleats and fly away
panels at the back. A matching net bow clip with face veil was used for hair
ornaments. They carried blue and white carnations.
Donna Krupka was the
flower girl.
Gary Cook of Colby, as best man, John Krupka Jr. of Stevens
Point, as groomsman, and Al Bartkowiak and Jerry McDonald as ushers, completed
the wedding party.
The wedding mass was followed by a breakfast
reception, dinner and dance at Wildwood Gardens, Stevens Point.
Prior to
her marriage, the bride was employed at the Marshfield Clinic. Her husband is a
student at Wis. State University, Platteville, where the couple will reside.
