St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene of the wedding of Miss Delores Jicinsky,
Minneapolis, Minn., and Dawayne R. Peterson, Osseo, Minn., on Saturday, Oct. 10,
1964.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Jincinsky of Unity,
and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peterson of Osseo, Minn.
The Rev. John B. Pinion officiated over the nuptial service. The church was
decorated with altar bouquets of lavender and white gladioli.
For her
wedding, the bride wore a floor length gown of taffeta peau de soie with a lace
panel down the front and a square neck, with lace trimmed chapel length train.
She wore a fingertip veil with a crown trimmed in sequins and seed pearls, and
carried a cascade bouquet of lavender roses and stephanotis.
Attending
the bride were Mrs. Kathleen Thomas, Osseo, matron of honor and sister of the
groom; and bridesmaids Mrs. Darlene Jicinsky, spencer, sister-in-law of the
bride, and Mrs. Darlene Herrmann, Colby.
The groom's attendants were
James Poole, Minneapolis, as best man; and groomsmen Kenneth Jicinsky, Spencer,
brother of the bride, and Glenn Herrmann, Colby.
The bride's attendants
wore floor length bell skirted gowns of turquoise acetate with brocade and
metallic thread and elbow length sleeves. They each carried a bouquet of
lavender and white glamilia.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at
the Colby City Hall, a supper at the Colby Hotel, and a dance at the city hall.
Out of town guests came from Milroy, Minneapolis, Osseo, Elk River and
Marshall, Minn., and Unity, Colby, Stratford, Dorchester, Marshfield, Medford,
Owen, Spencer and Abbotsford.
The newlyweds are making their home at
Queen Anne Terrace, 113 Robert Road, Lakeville, Minn.
The bride is
employed as a stenographer for the social security administration, and her
husband is employed at Suburban Chevrolet in Hopkins, Minn.
