Westaby,
Bernadine (18 JUL 1964)
Miss Bernadine H. Westaby, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. James Westaby, Stanley, became the bride of Augustine J. Weisfeld, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Weisfeld, Chilton on Saturday, July 18 at St. John’s Lutheran
Church, Gilman. Rev. John Speerstra performed the two o’clock double ring
ceremony. “O Perfect Love” and the “Wedding Prayer” were sung with Mrs. Nelson
playing the organ.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother
Charles Westaby, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta and
organdy featuring long tapered sleeves with a pleated skirt train and a large
bow at back, made by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles Westaby. Her fingertip veil
was held with a crown and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white
carnations.
Miss Diane Wincek, friend of the bride, was maid of honor,
wearing a blue lace over taffeta street length dress. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Maxine Alger, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Agnes Dassow, sister of the groom;
both were wearing pink dresses identical to that of the maid of honor. They all
wore crowns of pearls with blush veils and carried round bouquets of carnations
matching their dresses.
Laura Westaby, niece of the bride, was flower
girl, wearing a dress similar to the bride’s, of white Chantilly lace over
taffeta and net. She wore a crown headpiece and carried a bouquet like the
bride’s. A nephew of the bride, Duane Rogauski, was ring bearer.
Gerald
Westaby, brother of the bride, was best man, and groomsmen were Donald Westaby,
brother of the bride, and James Weisfeld, brother of the groom. Ushers were
William Alger, brother-in-law of the bride, and Bob Dassow, brother-in-law of
the groom.
A reception was held at the church parlors.
The groom
is an Aluminum Specialty Co. factory worker.
After a wedding trip to
Northern Wisconsin, they will make their home at Keil, Wisconsin.
