Krucker, Leonard (12 OCT 1886 - 14 OCT 1964)

Funeral services for Leonard Krucker, 78, of rural Unity, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.

Mr. Krucker died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 14, 1964, at his home in the town of Hull.

The Rev. Harold Woodworth officiated at the services and at the burial, which took place at Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Carl Stewart, Wilbur Stewart, Arthur Stewart, Robert Stewart Jr., Olin Thompson and George Osterhaus.

The body lay in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby from Friday evening until Sunday.

Leonard Marion Krucker was born Oct. 12, 1886 in the town of Hill in Marathon County.

He was educated in local schools.

On June 12, 1912 he was married to the former Mathilda Marks, who preceded him in death on May 26, 1945.

Mr. Krucker farmed on his home farm until 1945, when his won-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schultz, took over the farm.

He then worked part of the time and did some traveling, spending one winter in Arizona and another in Texas. From 1952 to 1954 he worked at Clearfield, Utah, at an airforce base.

He spent the last years of his life on the farm of his birth with Mr. and Mrs. Schultz.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.

Surviving are a son, Earl Krucker, West Allis; two daughters, Mrs. Claude (Norma) Giles of Wausau and Mrs. Clarence (Verna) Schultz of Unity. There are 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters also survive.
