Arnold (14 APR 1917 - 24 OCT 1964)
Funeral services were held Tuesday at
Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, for Arnold Krauter, 47, rural Colby, who passed
away Saturday, Oct. 24, 1964, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Rev. Leroy
Urman officiated at the 2 p.m. service and interment was made in Colby Memorial
Cemetery.
Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Krauter was born April 14, 1917, at Marshfield, and lived there with his
family in the town of McMillan until the age of 23. After his marriage to
Louella Ladwig, the couple moved to the Colby area where they farmed until his
death.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and had served as church
trustee and parochial school board member.
Surviving him are his wife;
three daughters, Mrs. James (Carol) Hurley, Milwaukee; Sandra Krauter of
Milwaukee, and Linda, at home; one son, Gary, at home; his mother, Mrs. Anna
Krauter of Marshfield; two brothers, Adolph, Janesville, and Walter, Marshfield;
and five sisters, Mrs. Ervin (Laura) Luchterhand and Mrs. Elmer (Ella)
Luchterhand, both of Marshfield; Mrs. Elmer (Esther) Dorn, Menomonee Falls; Mrs.
Edwin (Clara) Wedwood, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Rueben (Caroline) Pamperin of
Marshfield.
