Bucki, Frederick "Fred" W. (15 Nov 1937 - 17 MAY 2013)
Frederick "Fred" W. Bucki, 75, Orland Park, Ill., died on Friday, May 17 at
Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, Ill. Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Rib Lake, with Rev. David
Clements officiating.
Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake
with full graveside military rites performed by the Rib Lake American Legion
Military Honors Team. Pallbearers are Jeff Heiser, Zachary and David Bernhardt,
Matthew Miller, Steven Stanula and Danny Johnson.
Visitation will be held
at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 22 from 3 to 7 p.m., and on Thursday from
10 a.m. until the time of service.
Frederick Bucki was born on November
15, 1937 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Frank and Gertrude (Wilhelms) Bucki. He
attended Chicago public schools. He served in the United States Army during the
Korean War.
On May 27, 1955 at Geneva, Ill., he married Carol Dubuque,
who survives. He worked as a diesel mechanic and did auto body work in the
Chicago area, and retired from International Harvester in Chicago.
He
enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique tractors, time on his computer and spending
the summer months at his home in Rib Lake.
In addition to his wife,
survivors include three daughters, Debbie (Jeff) James of Darien, IL; Denise
(Mark) Elworthy of Tinley Park, IL; and Donna (Charles Jr.) Bernhardt of
Sandwich, IL; a sister Linda (Dennis) Houston of Rib Lake; nine grandchildren;
and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded
in death by two great-grandchildren, Aubrey March Miller and Jaxon Scott Miller,
and two brothers, James and Frank.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
