Denzin, Karen (31 OCT 1964)
Miss
Karen Denzin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Denzin of route 1, Abbotsford, and
Ronald Olson of route 1, Ripon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson of route 1,
Abbotsford, exchanged marriage promises Saturday, oct. 31, 1964, in Bethlehem
Lutheran Church at Milan with the Rev. F.R. Timler officiating. During the 1:30
o'clock ceremony, Mrs. William Denzin Jr. sang "The Song of Ruth" and "Wedding
Prayer." Mrs. Orville Barkow Sr. was the organist.
The bride, who was
given in marriage by her father, was attired in an exquisite floor length gown
of bombazine and lace. The molded basque bodice was styled with a lace appliqued
neckline, embellished with iridescent sequins and pearls, and long sleeves
tapering to points over the wrist. The princess panel front balanced with
ruffled tieres of bombazine edged with sequins. A crown of rhinestones and
crystal drops held the bouffant fingertip illusion veil. Yellow roses with white
stephanotis and long streamers formed the bridal bouquet.
Honor
attendants were Mrs. Ronald Brock of Ripon, a sister of the groom, and Robert
Denzin of Abbotsford, a brother of a bride. Miss Roberta Becker, a friend of the
couple, and Miss Lynette Denzin, both of Athens, a cousin of the bride, and
Ronald Brock of Ripon and Vern Wittlinger of Abbotsford, a cousin of the bride,
completed the wedding party.
Roger Denzin of Abbotsford, a cousin of the
bride, and Russell Stollfus of Rosendale, a brother-in-law of the groom, seated
the guests at the church.
The bride's attendants were attired in floor
length emerald green Laguna peau gowns with three-quarter length sleeves and
high scooped necklines. Dainty bows detailed the fitted midriffs and the A-line
of the flared skirts was enhanced by a detachable Watteau panel.
Adorning
their heads were velveray floral hats with four tier bouffant veils. They
carried baskets of yellow and bronze mums and cattails.
Yellow and bronze
mums were combined in the corsages which the mothers wore with their ensembles.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Milan clubhouse, followed
by a 4 o'clock dinner in the church basement. In the evening a wedding dance was
held at Sportsmen's Parks, Colby.
Guests at the wedding came from
Phillips, Ripon, Neenah, Rosendale, Wausau, Aniwa, Athens, Edgar, Mosinee,
Abbotsford, Colby and the surrounding area.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Olson
are making their home at Rosendale. The groom is employed by Jacob Brenner at
Fond du Lac. Prior to their marriage the bride was employed at Standard
container at Edgar.
