Kelley, Mr./Mrs. George (Silver
- 28 OCT 1964)
Mr. and Mrs. George Kelley of Abbotsford celebrated their
silver wedding anniversary at open house at the village hall Saturday evening.
Many friends from the area attended and relatives came from Green Bay, Antigo
and Black Creek. Six of the eight attendants at the marriage were here for the
anniversary.
The evening was spent in dancing to music by Mr. and Mrs.
Emil Daellenbach, and refreshments were served.
The honored couple was
presented an anniversary cake by their children and another which was made by
Miss Marlene Schelling and Miss Diane Schultz.
Miss Beatrice Vanden Avond
and George Kelley were married Oct. 28, 1939, in St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church, Green Bay. On Nov. 1 of that year they came to Abbotsford and have made
their home there since that time. Mr. Kelley was employed as a salesman for Wis.
Dairy Laboratory and five years ago he began operating his own business known as
the Kelley Dairy Supply. For the past seven years Mr. Kelley served the village
as Marathon County Supervisor.
The Kelley have six children: Mary of
Wausau, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Brown of Pittsburg, Kan., twins; Patrick, who
attends St. Mary's Seminary at Baltimore, Md.; John, Mark and Pamela at home.
They also have one grandchild.
