Funeral services
for Emil Clarence Edblom, 73, Unity, were held Tuesday , Nov. 10 at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Unity. The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated, and burial was
made in the church cemetery. Mr. Edblom died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7,
1964.
Pallbearers were Gust Carlson, Otto Atcherson, Herman Molle, Elmer
Carlson, William Siegrist and Herman Francen.
Members of the choir sang
"Under His Wing" and "Beneath the Cross of Jesus." They were accompanied by Mrs.
Ansel Messer at the piano. Mrs. Messer also played a prelude of organ music.
Emil Edblom was born Aug. 9, 1891, in Miller, Ind., and came to the Unity
area as a young man. During his life he worked in lumber yards and farmed,
living in Unity for the past 20 years. He married the former Alma Johnson in
Colby on March 26, 1913. He was a member of the Clark County Board at the time
of his death, and had served for many years as financial secretary of Trinity
Lutheran Church, as well as secretary-treasurer of the cemetery board.
Survivors include his wife, Alma; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Dearth of
Unity; one grandchild; and one brother, Arthur, of Unity. He was preceded in
death by one sister and one brother.

funeral included Mrs. Carl G. Johnson of Portland, Ore., Mrs. George Egnoski and
Mrs. Harry Felker, Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Bombard and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Olson, Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dearth Owen,
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dearth of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murphy, Marshfield,
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Tauchen, Dorchester, Mrs. Carl Johnson and son, Carl,
Stetsonville, Mrs. Frank Korth, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oelrich and Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Korth, Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. John Martin of Dodgeville, Mr. and
Mrs. Victor Dallman, Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Edblom, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Edblom, Mrs.
Allen DuVal and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Alexander, Owen, Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Mellenthin and Mrs. Adelia Mellenthin of Spencer, and Albert Schneider,
Stratford.
