Herrmann, Bernita L. (4 OCT 1914 - 2 DEC 1964)
Bernita Louise Herrmann,
50, died at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., Dec. 2, 1964, of a
cerebral hemorrhage. The body lay in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby
and funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First
Unity Church of Christ at Colby, with the Rev. Orval Egbert of Greenwood
officiating. Miss Carol Edblom sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the
Sunset."
The pallbearers for the interment made in the Colby Cemetery
were George Kelley, Elmore Dehne, Clarence Dolan, Ed Masiewicz, Harry Karsten
and Justin Gray.
Bernita Herrmann was born Oct. 4, 1914, at Curtiss
(Clark Co., Wis.) and was educated in the area schools, graduating from the
Colby High School. For the past 10 years or more she was employed as a bank
teller in various banks in the Chicago vicinity.
Surviving her are four
brothers: Alphonse of Abbotsford, Harold and Eugene of Milwaukee, and Ronald of
Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hermina
Herrmann.
Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral came
from Illinois, Milwaukee, Columbus, Waupaca, Eau Claire, Park Falls, Milan,
Curtiss, Dorchester, Colby, Owen and Abbotsford.
