Nancy K. (1 DEC 1964)
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Marshfield
was the scene of the wedding of Miss Nancy Kaye Schweikl and Robert Joseph Hartl
at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1964. The Rev. L.H. Timmermann officiated. The
church was decorated with yellow and white chrysanthemums at the altar and long
stemmed red roses graced a side altar. The grad school choir of Sacred Heart
sang the nuptial high mass.
Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs.
Harold J. Schweikl of route 2, Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hartl, route
1, Unity.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a floor
length gown featuring a jewel trimmed Sabrina neckline on the basque bodice of
Chantilly lace, and a full skirt of silk organza over taffeta with a front lace
panel and lace edging at the hemline. Lace cabbage roses accented the lace
ruffled tiered back which formed the chapel train. Her bouffant illusion veil
was held to a crown of pearl and aurora borealis crystals. She carried a cascade
arrangement of red roses, lilies of the valley and white feathered carnations.
Serving as maid of honor was Miss Judy Michalski of Marshfield, and Mrs.
Wayne Schulz, Spencer, and Mrs. Eugene Zygarlicki, Marshfield, were the
bridesmaids. They appeared in orchid floor length formals of acetate taffeta
made with bateau necklines and fitted midriff topping semi-full skirts which
were formed by un-pressed pleats with bow-trimmed Watteau panels at the back.
Each side had a matching crown with pearl trim and face veils and their nosegays
consisted of orchids and pink sweetheart roses.
Dale Brumbaugh of
Greenwood was the best man, and husbands of the bridesmaids served as groomsmen.
Ushering were Ronald Weister and Leland Schweikl, both of Marshfield.
A
reception, buffet style supper and dance were held at Charlais Supper Club,
Marshfield. The newlyweds plan a delayed wedding trip to Saskatchewan, Canada,
and are living at route 2, Marshfield.
Guests at the wedding were from
Manitowoc, Unity, Spencer, Loyal, Stratford, Abbotsford, Auburndale, Medford, La
Crosse, Merrill, Neillsville, Milwaukee, Milladore, Greenwood, Hillsboro,
Granton and Stevens Point, besides Marshfield.
The new Mrs. Hartl is a
1963 graduate of Columbus High School at Marshfield and is a senior at St.
Joseph's Hospital School of X-Ray Technology. Her husband attended Unity Grade
School and Colby High School, and is employed by Berg Equipment Corp.
