Funeral services
for Otto Busse, 60, rural Abbotsford, who died unexpectedly at his home in the
town of Mayville Monday evening at 10:15 p.m., will be held today, Dec. 31, at
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, at 2 p.m.
The Rev. F.H.
Sprengler will officiate at the services, and burial will be made in the
Abbotsford Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby was in charge of
the arrangements.
Mr. Busse was born in the town of Holton (Marathon Co.,
Wis.) Nov. 6, 1904. He was educated in local schools, and in 1927 he was married
to the former Lorentina Scheelk, who survives him.
The couple settled on
a farm in the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), on Highway 13, where he farmed
until the time of his death.
Mr. Busse was a former school board member.
He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where he served as financial
secretary for 27 years. He also was president of the Local Aid Association for
Lutherans, and was a member of the congregation's Men's Club.
Besides his
wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol Busse of Abbotsford, and two sons,
Marvin, also of Abbotsford, and Ronald of Dorchester. Eleven grandchildren and
two brothers and a sister, Albert Busse of Abbotsford, Mrs. Otto (Frieda)
Seehafer of Marshfield, and John Busse of Abbotsford, also survive.
His
mother, Mrs. Alvina Busse of Abbotsford, also survives. His father, Gustave
Busse, died in 1953.
