Shirley Ann Tieman was born on August 24, 1927, in the Town of Butler on the home farm, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Culp) Tieman. She was raised on the family farm and received her elementary education in the Butler area, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1945. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and had many interests, including antiques, going to auctions, her flower gardens, garage sales, casinos, cooking and socializing.

Shirley is survived by one brother: Jerome (Lois) Tieman of Loyal; four sisters: Arlene Martinson of Union Grove, Joyce Washburn of Carmel, IN, Alice Kennedy of Loyal, Linda Disch of Lake Mills; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
