Miss Dolores Prock, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Linus Prock of the town of Weston (Clark Co., Wis.), and Jack McKenzie, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Everett McKenzie of 525 First Av., Silvis, Ill., were united in
marriage at 8 a.m. April 27, 1940, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville,
Rev. J.A. Biegler performing the single ring ceremony in the presence of 25
guests. Large bouquets of snapdragons were used as the church decorations.
The bride wore a navy blue pin-striped suit and a corsage of gardenias, with
suntan accessories. Her attendant, Miss Helen McKenzie of Silvis, wore a blue
suit and gardenias with white and red accessories. Harold Imig was best man.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's aprents, roses and
carnations being the home decorations. The couple left on a week's wedding trip
to Crystal Lake. Foer her going away outfit, the bride wore a dusty rose
ensemble. After the honeymoon trip, the couple will be at home at 730 25th St.,
Moline, Ill.
Mrs. McKenzie is one of the community's finest young women,
studious, practical and culture. She was graduated from the Neillsville High
School in 1937. For one year she attended the Milwaukee State Teacher College
and was later graduated from the Marquette School of Dental Hygiene. She was
employed in a dental office in Milwaukee for a time. She is a member of the
Alpha Delta Eta Sorority and of the State Dental Hygiene Society.
The
groom is a graduate of the Owen High School and took two years of special
training at the Chicago Institute of Technology. He is employed as electrical
maintenance engineer for the International Harvester Co. He is a member of the
Earmail club and Tappa-Kegga-Bura Fraternity.
Out of town guests, aside
from those who were members of the wedding party, included: Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Horn, Eau Claire; Rose Marie and Mrs. Wenston, Withee; Lilah Prock, Owen, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Kennear, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. James McConnell and daughter
Sharon, Greenwood; Father Biegler, Mrs. Arthur Wagner and Genevieve Linster,
Neillsville.
