Anne R. Sladich, 87, Greenwood, passed
from this life on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Clark County Health Care Center,
Owen. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 7, at St. Mary’s
Help of Christians Parish, Greenwood. Burial was in the parish cemetery in
Greenwood. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jeremiah Bogdonovich, Eli
Bogdonovich, Jason Strey, Kevin Sladich, Ryan Sladich, Sam Rybski, Matt Sladich,
Eric Sladich and Steven Sladich.
Anne Gosar was born on July 2, 1925, in
the township of Eaton, to Frank and Mary (nee Remzgar) Gosar. On June 22, 1946,
she married Ignatius Sladich at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard, and they
made their home in rural Greenwood. He preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1981.
Anne graduated from Greenwood High School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau
Claire. She was a school teacher in several country schools im the county and
later taught in the Catholic schools at Loyal and Thorp. In later years, she was
substitute teacher for the public schools at Greenwood, Loyal and Owen.
Survivors include her children, Donna Hurt, Shreveport, La., Mary Sladich,
Neillsville, Michael Sladich, Greenwood, William (Barbara) Sladich, Greenwood,
Jeanne (Duane) Strey, Granton, Jerome Sladich, Greenwood, Rita Slandich,
Spencer, and Anne (Jim) Bogdonovich, Willard; 18 grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Angie (Roman) Stroinski, Thorp, Cecelia
Shaw, Marshfield, and Julia Kuznacic, Sheboygan.
In addition to her
husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Sladich; three
sisters, Mary Artac, Sophie Trunkel and Sr. M. Antonia (Frances) SSM; and two
brothers, Frank Gosar, in infancy and Tony Gosar.
A special thank you to

as well as to Fr. Joe Follmar and Fr. Keith Kitzhaber, for their pastoral care.
