Magdalena M. “Maggie” Hall, 79,
Loyal, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at St. Anthony’ s
Catholic Church, Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate. Burial will follow in
St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from

Magdalena Mary Westhoff was born on
Aug. 31, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Regina (nee
Delpenbrook) Westhoff. She received her elementary education in Chicago and in
1947, her family moved to Loyal, where they purchased a farm. Maggie completed
her education in Loyal and graduated in 1953. After her graduation, she moved to
Chicago to become a nanny. It was in Chicago where she met and married Robert
Hall in 1959, and they had two children, Rena and Jason. They later divorced,
and she returned to Loyal to raise her children. Maggie worked as a CAN at
Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville for many years, and then went to work at
the Clark County Health Center from which she retired. After retiring, she took
many jobs to help out others, whether it was needing a ride, watching a pet, or
maybe just a little help around the house. She was a gentle soul, and her door
was aleways open at the Thomas Apartments because she enjoyed the company of
anyone passing by. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She had
many interests, but especially loved traveling, dreaming of hitting it big at
the casino, or getting that one lucky scratch off.
She will be dearly
missed by her children, Rena (RANDY) Susa, Willard, and Jason (Judy) Hall,
Mosinee; her blended family of grandchildren, Courtney (Derek) Braun, Tyler
Kosik, Royce (Heather) Kosik, Matt Susa, Levi Susa, , and Randy (Kathy) Susa;
great-grandchildren, Liam Kosik, Dom Susa, Zach Susa, Kaci Sue Susa, and Emma
Susa; and nieces, nephewa, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Jutta (Jack) Rohs; and
her brother and sister-in-law, Walter (Betty) Westhoff.
