Burzynski, Mr./Mrs. Walter (Gold – 16 AUG 1964)
Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Burzynski, Route 2, Stanley, Wisconsin, celebrated their Golden
Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, August 16, 1964. A 10:30 o’clock mass of
thanksgiving was offered by Revv. Anthony Matla at the P.N.C.C. at Lublin,
Wisconsin.
Mrs. Burzynski wore a light blue print nylon jacket dress and
white accessories. Her corsage consisted of yellow roses. Mr. Burzynski was
attired in dark brown suite and wore a yellow rose.
Also present were the
attendants of fifty years ago, Mrs. Anton Dombroski of Gilman, Wisconsin; a
friend of the couple, who wore a blue lace dress with a corsage of roses and
carnations.
John Burzynski, of Stanley, Wisconsin, a brother, wore a dark
brown suit and yellow carnation.
The following children of Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Burzynski who attended were: Eight sons, Leon of New London, Wis., Walter
and Michael of Chicago, Ill., Edward of Monongahela, Penn., Louis of Washington,
D.C., Stanley and Marion of Thorp, Wis., and Frank of Stanley; four daughters:
Maria (Mrs. Adam Pawlak) of Thorp, Wis., Harriet (Mrs. Alfred Stievang) of
Stanley, and Estelle (Mrs. Alvin Kroepfl) of Milwaukee, Wis. Antoinette (Mrs.
Richard Van Overmieren) of Chicago was unable to attend.
They also have
44 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
At noon, a dinner was
served at the P.N.C.C. at church parlors to 185 immediate family relatives and
friends from Chicago, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Milwaukee, Port Washington,
Wis., Pulaski, Wis., Harvey, Ill., Thorp, Stanley, Gilman and Lublin, Wis.
Table decorations were white and gold with bells, and beautiful floral
arrangements of gold with yellow centerpieces for the tables were made by their
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frank R. Burzynski of Stanley.
A Bible wedding cake was
a gift of the children and their families.
A coin golden wedding tree was
made and given by their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Van Overmieren
of Chicago, Ill.
Another three-tier wedding cake was made by
granddaughter Mrs. John Skovera of Pulaski, Wis., and a five-tier wedding cake
was a gift from their grandchildren, children of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Burzynski of
New London, Wis.
Yellow gladiolus and mums decorated the altar and gold
bows were on the pews. Golden cones were a gift from the children.
