Rosemeyer, Mr./Mrs. R. L. (Gold – 8 SEP 1964)
Mr. and
Mrs. R. L. Rosemeyer of Stanley, former residents of the town of Taft,
celebrated their 50th anniversary on September 8. The former Ida Buddin and
Raymond Rosemeyer were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Sinsinawa, Wis.
A mass of thanksgiving was said at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Stanley,
followed by a dinner at the Stanley Hotel Coffee Shop.
A reception in the
afternoon was held at the Justin Rosemeyer home in Thorp. Friends and relatives
attended from Thorp, Stanley, Gilman, Eau Claire, Minneapolis, Cuba City, Wis.,
East Dubuque, Ill. and Dubuque, Iowa.
The couple’s eight children all
attended. They are (Norma) Mrs. John Gamroth, Raymond; and Charles, Seattle;
Robert, Round Lake, Ill.; Sister Mary Rebecca, Dubuque, Ia.; (Marcella) Mrs. Jim
Podwin, Waupaun; Justin, and Eugene of Thorp. They also have 31 grandchildren
and one great-granddaughter.
