Gault, June Rose (9 August 1929 - 11 May 2013)
June Rose (Lindow) Gault,
83, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Neillsville Care & Rehab Center. She was
struggling with Alzheimer’s and its many complications.
June was born
Aug. 9, 1929, in the Town of Lynn to Rose (Seehafer) and Raymond Lindow. She
received her elementary education at Maple Grove School, Town of Lynn, and
graduated June 2, 1947 from Marshfield Senior High.
After graduation,
June worked at Normington’s Laundry in Marshfield until her marriage to Franklin
E. Gault May 21, 1949. In the early to mid 1950’s, June and Frank ran two
taverns in Neillsville, first the Road Side Inn and then the Pool Hall. In 1956,
the family moved to a suburb of Gary, IN. Frank drove truck for the steel mills.
In 1958, they moved back to Neillsville. June and Frank operated the Neillsville
Country Club for two years and from 1961 to 1969 they owned a beer
distributorship. In the mid 1960’s June worked at the Neillsville McCain’s
store, and in 1968 she began working at the Neillsville Bank, retiring after 25
years. After retirement, June worked part-time at Figi’s, The Family Shoe Store
and the IGA, all in Neillsville.
June and her horse Duke, were members of
the Neillsville Saddle Tramps.
June is survived by her son, Randy
(Bonnie) Gault of Humbird; daughter, Judy (Max) Kapfer of Stoughton;
grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Kapfer of Whitewater and Amanda (Bjorn) Stanton of Sun
Prairie; great-grandchildren, Violet Kapfer, Viggo and Solveig Stanton; and two
brothers, Wallace (Gin) Lindow of Brookfield, and Merlin (Florence) Lindow of
Neillsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a
sister, Gloria Lindow.
June’s family is grateful for the care given to
her at the Neillsville Memorial Medical Center and Neillsville Care & Rehab, the
Marshfield Clinic and Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Hospice.
Funeral
services for June will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Gesche
Funeral Home in Neillsville with visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pastor
Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Music will be provided by Eileen Zank, organist.
Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be
Josh Kapfer, Bjorn Stanton, Mike and Mark Schoengarth, Robert Wilsmann Jr. and
Ryan Hoffmann.
