The Methodist Parsonage at Merrillan was the scene of a pretty double ring
wedding solemnized Wednesday, June 5, 1940 at 2 o'clock, when Miss LeVon Velma
Franks married Phillips Sladish, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. C.H.
Pierstoff read the marriage rites.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Don Franks, R. 4, and the groom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sladish, R.5.
After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home on the farm near here.
The Gleaner joins with their many friends in extending congratulations and
best wishes for a long and happy married life.
