Holt, Carol Jean (Marriage - 6 September 1969)
Carol
Jean Holt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merton Holt of Rt. 1 Neillsville and Ronald
F. Boushon, son of Frank and the late Mrs. Boushon, of Rt. 1 Chili, were united
in marriage Saturday, September 6, at the Zion American Lutheran Church in the
Town of Grant. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated at the 2 p.m. double ring
ceremony. Bouquets of white gladioli and aqua carnations decorated the church.
Mr. Holt gave his daughter in marriage. The bride was attired in a full
length empire styled gown of nylon and Chantilace over taffeta. Her chapel train
was of Chantilace. Her elbow length illusion veil was secured by a cluster
headpiece of Chantilace and crystal. She carried a cascade arrangement of pink
sweetheart roses and white pompon ‘mums.
Mrs. Donald (Val) Boushon of
Chili was matron of honor. Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Hart of Racine was bridesmaid.
They wore floor-length gowns of aqua georgette with matching lace coats. Their
short veils wee attached to cluster headpieces of aqua net and crystals. Each
carried a colonial bouquet of white gladioli and pink and aqua carnations.
Donald Boushon of Chili was bestman and Thomas Hart of Racine served as
groomsman. Ushering duties were performed by Daniel Boushon of Marshfield and
Robert Holt of Durand.
Miss Margie Schlinsog provided organ music and
Mrs. Evan Dieck was soloist. A reception, supper and dance were held in
Marshfield.
The bride, a graduate of Neillsville High School, is employed
at the Clark County ASCS office in Neillsville. The groom attended Marshfield
High School and has employment at Spry’s elevator in Chili.
Following a
wedding trip, they will make their home in Neillsville.
