FORMER CURTISS YOUTH WEDS CHICAGO GIRL
Miss Karen Irene Tipple, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Tipple, 504 W. Dean Ave., Chicago, Ill, became the bride
of Rollo James Everett, Chicago, Ill., in Lake Edge Congregational Church at
2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15. Mrs. Rollo J. Everett, Almond, and the late Mr.
Everett are parents of the bridegroom.
Carrying a handkerchief given to
her by her Aunt, Mrs. Fred Mertz of Milwaukee, with her cascade of pink the
bride wore a floor-length organza roses and white feathered carnations, gown
styled with elbow-length sleeves and a scooped neckline. The skirt was designed
with unpressed pleats. Her elbow length veil was held in place by a crystal
crown touched with seed pearls.
Miss Susanne Tipple, Madison, was her
sister’s honor attendant, and Miss Christine Dyer, 153 Harding St., was
bridesmaid. They wore coral organza street-length dresses fashioned with bell
skirts and matching organza jackets. Circlets of flowers held their brief veils
and they carried cascades of blue, white and yellow daisies.
Assuming the
duties of best man was Edward J. Wendt, Chicago, with the bride’s brother James
Tipple, Madison, as groomsman. Another brother, Thomas Tipple, Madison and
Robert Everett, Chicago Ridge, Ill., ushered.
A reception was held in the
fellowship hall of the church, followed by a buffet supper served at the home of
the bride’s parents.
The couple will reside in Chicago after a brief
Wisconsin honeymoon.
The bride is a graduate of Wisconsin State
University of Whitewater with a Bachelor of Education Degree. Her husband
received a B.S. Degree from the University of Wisconsin and is employed by Corn
Products Co., Argo, Ill., as a chemical engineer.
