Fetting, Bernice (16 APR 1923 - 1 JUN 2013)
Bernice Fetting, age 90, of Marshfield, was born into eternal life Saturday,
June 1, 2013 with her family by her side. Because of health issues, Bernice has
been residing at Three Oaks in Marshfield since 2009. Funeral services will be
held 1:00PM Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home,
Marshfield. Pastor Tricia Turner will officiate. Burial will take place in the
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from
11:00AM-1:00PM Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home.
Bernice was born April 16, 1923 in St Charles, Illinois, the daughter of
Willis and Louise (Jones) Wilkison. She graduated from Plato Center High School
in Illinois.
On October 18, 1941 the former Bernice Wilkison was united
in marriage to Fred G. Fetting in Elgin, Illinois. The couple farmed in Illinois
and in the Greenwood and Loyal area for many years.
Bernice was a loving
mother, wife and homemaker. She served as an Avon representative and election
poll worker for several years.
Bernice was a proud grandmother and
cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Some of Bernice's interests included buying and
refinishing antiques, embroidery, needlepoint, gardening, playing cards and
watching the Milwaukee Brewers. She also loved baking, cooking and canning.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Ted Fetting, Wauwatosa, WI; David
(Karen) Fetting, Moose Lake, MN; Ralph ( Mary Losiewicz) Fetting, Gilman, WI;
Ruth Kalms, Marshfield and Lily (Darrell) Michalski, Marshfield. Nine
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren further survive Bernice.
In
addition to her husband, three sisters and two brothers preceded Bernice in
death.
