Meyer, Paul E. (4 APR 1926 - 3 JUN 2013)
Paul E. Meyer, 87, of Dorchester, passed away Monday, June 3, 2012 at
Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in
Dorchester. Father Dan Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held on
Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church. Burial will be
in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Paul was born April 4, 1926 in the
Town of Mayville, Wisconsin to Edward and Anna (Geiger) Meyer. He received his
education at Saint Louis Catholic School. On June 17, 1953 he was united in
marriage to Verna Jean Jensen at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Paul
was the founder of Meyer's Equipment Manufacturing Corporation in Dorchester. He
was a
member of Saint Louis Parish in Dorchester.
Paul is lovingly
survived by his children; Nadine (Tom) Rohrick, Jeanine (Peter) Gelhaus, Keith
(Stacy) Meyer, Al (Nancy) Meyer, Gail (Doug) Korhonen, Julie (Mike) Smith and
Michael (Lori) Meyer, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a brother;
Roy Meyer.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife; Verna, one son Daniel
Meyer, his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
He enjoyed hunting,
fishing and playing golf.
In lieu of flowers a memorial can be made to
the Saint Jude Children's Foundation.
