Perkins, Jean E. (LaBelle) (25 MAY1931 - 14 MAY 2013)

Jean E. Perkins, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013, under the care of Marshfield Palliative Care.

She was born on May 25, 1931 in Holcombe, to Russell and Elizabeth LaBelle. Jean was married to Raymond Perkins on May 3, 1958. He preceded her in death October 9, 1987.

Jean was a teacher at Athens Elementary School until retirement. She had a passion for reading books, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Michael (Gail) Perkins, Christopher (Lori) Perkins, and Nathan (Shelby) Perkins; six grandchildren, Brandon Perkins, Ashley Perkins, Michael Perkins, Brittany Perkins, Tyler Perkins, Sierra (Nate) Drow; and three great-grandchildren, Serenity Drow, Paxton Drow, and Amariana Drow.

Funeral services will be held at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith on Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. with burial to follow.
