Miss
Jacquelyn Bucheger became the bride of Ross Fritz at a wedding solemnized at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood on Saturday, August 22nd in an 11:00 a.m.
Nupital Mass. The Rev. Edward Hartung officiated at the Nuptial Mass.
The
bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Bucheger of Greenwood and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Fritz of Owen.
Given in
marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegantly designed gown of silk
organza over taffeta. The very fitted bodice was fashioned with an empire waist
falling into a bell shaped skirt enhanced with a Watteau train. The skirt and
train were highlighted with imported Swiss lace. The bridal bouquet was made up
of one large, red Dutchess Rose surrounded by baby roses of the same color, and
cascades of ivy.
Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Judi
Bucheger of Greenwood, and bridesmaids, Miss Karen Micke of Wisconsin Rapids and
Miss Donna Fritz, a sister of the groom from Owen.
The bridesmaids wore
identical floor length gowns in white chiffon over taffeta. They were designed
with bell shaped skirts, similar to that of the bride. They wore a white
butterfly head piece, and carried one large red dutchess rose.
Attending
the groom as best man was Arden Fritz of St. Louis, Missouri, a brother of the
groom, and groomsmen Richard Howard of Chippewa Falls and Joseph Bucheger of
Greenwood, a brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony a brunch was
held at 12:30 with a reception at the Meadowview Country Club in late afternoon.
The bride is a graduate of the Owen-Withee Senior High School and has been
previously employed as secretary for General Contracting Firm in Minneapolis.
The groom is a graduate of the Owen-Withee Senior High School and the
University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire. He is now teaching in the Medford High
School.
The newly weds will make their home at 134 W. Perkins, Medford,
Wisconsin.
