SERVICES CONDUCTED FOR MRS. MARY WEAVER, 76
Mrs. Mary Weaver, 76, a resident of Owen for more than 50 years. Funeral
services were held at 11 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Katherine’s Episcopal
Church, Owen. Bishop William Horstick of Eau Claire officiated. Interment was
made in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were
Edward Bergstrom, E. C. Olds, Pete Madsen, J. R. Barager, Peter McMillan and E.
W. Sutter.
Born November 30, 1887, in Manistee, Michigan, she was wed to
the late William Weaver on February 28, 1905, in a ceremony performed at Stevens
Point. Four years later the couple moved to Owen where she had since resided
until late years when she spent considerable time visiting the homes of her
children.
During the span of some 50 years which she spent in Owen she
was active in church and civic affairs and held several elective and appointive
offices in the Royal Neighbor Lodge and the Rebekah Chapter of Stevens Point.
Her passing is mourned by two sons, Russell Weaver, West Covina, Calif., and
Robert Weaver, Ogdensburg, New York; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lila) King,
Schofield, Mrs. Ted (Mildred) Roberson, Owen, Mrs. James (Virginia) Sievwright
and Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Kadonsky, Stevens Point;p two brothers, Frank Weaver,
Spooner, and Albert Weaver, Mount Vernon, Ill., a sister, Mrs. Charles (Lila)
Mayenberg Stone Lake; 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
