Fetting, Bernice (16 April
1923 - 1 June 2013)
Bernice Fetting, 90, of Marshfield, was born into
eternal life Saturday, June 1, 2013, with her family by her side. Because of
health issues, Bernice had been residing at Three Oaks in Marshfield since 2009.
Bernice was born April 16, 1923, in St. Charles, IL the daughter of Willis
and Louise (Jones) Wilkison. She graduated from Plato Center High School in
Illinois. She was united in marriage to Fred G. Fetting Oct. 18, 1941, in Elgin,
IL. The couple farmed in Illinois and in the Greenwood and Loyal area for many
years.
Bernice was a loving mother, wife, and homemaker. She served as an
Avon representative and election poll worker for several years. Bernice was a
proud grandmother and cherished the time she could spend with her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
Some of Bernice’s interests included buying and
refinishing antiques, embroidery, needlepoint, gardening, playing cards and
watching the Milwaukee Brewers. She also loved baking, cooking and canning. She
particularly enjoyed feeding everyone.
She is lovingly survived by her
children, Ted Fetting, Wauwatosa; David (Karen) Fetting, Moose Lake, MN; Ralph
(Mary Losiewicz) Fetting, Gilman; Ruth Kalms, Marshfield; and Lily (Darrell)
Michalski, Marshfield. Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren further
survive Bernice.
In addition to her husband, three sisters and two
brothers preceded Bernice in death.
Those wishing to offer an expression
of sympathy in Bernice’s memory are encouraged to contribute to the charity of
their choice.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7,
2013, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral home, Marshfield. Pastor Tricia Turner
will officiate. Burial will take place in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery,
Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday,
June 7, 2013, at the funeral home.
