East Lynn (2 SEP 1915)
It is stated that a certain small village is
getting so dry that every living creature, be it man or beast, must turn into a
camel to survive the draught. That animal can go 9 days without drink, but who
wants to be a camel?
A number of neighbors helped Emil Lindow raise his
granary and machine shed Monday.
Laura and Grace Gehrke of Marshfield are
visiting relatives in this vicinity.
News is very scarce at present so
please take pity on a correspondent and don’t swat him every time he don’t hold
his mouth just right.
When attending the Neillsville fair don’t forget to
drop into the Times office for a few moments, even if for no other purpose that
to chat with the editor. Although that fellow is unfortunate enough to be
somewhat bald, he has certain ways of entertaining visitors and the time spent
in his company will never be regretted.
Ernest Conrad has greatly
improved from his recent illness and is well on the road to recovery.
