County Mail Carriers Meet (6 SEP 1915)

On Labor Day the Clark County Rural Mail Carriers Association held its annual meeting in this city. A business session was held in the afternoon following dinner at the Neillsville Hotel. The following officers were elected: George Barker of Abbotsford, president; H.M. Mead of Thorp, vice-president, and John Walk of Neillsville, secretary and treasurer. H.M. Mead, L. Morris and Otto Neverman were elected delegates to the state convention at Eau Claire next May. It was also arranged to have a mail carriers picnic at Greenwood next June, and Greenwood was chosen as the meeting place for the next annual meeting. The following mail carriers were in attendance:
Neillsville – John Walk, R. Welch, W.E. Forman, B. Paulus, O. Neverman
Chili – Post Mistress Mrs. Haugensen, Chas. Lindow and family
Thorp – Martin Zeaman, H.M. Mead, Joe Grizinski, Ig. Prybylski
Withee – Percy Free, A.L. Hansen
Granton – A. Mabie, B. Tykac, L. Morris
Owen – Fay McCray
Greenwood – W. Hartsen
Abbotsford – Geo. Barker
