East Washburn (16 SEP 1915)
The death of Mrs.
Palmer was a severe blow to the community. She was superintendent of our S.S.
and a very devoted Christian, and we will miss her sadly. Our heartfelt sympathy
is extended to her son, Dan, as he is left alone on his farm.
Essie
Bender came home Monday from Richland Center, armed with her diploma.
Floyd Bender entered high school at Granton Monday.
The people of our
church wish to thank Mrs. Eschenberg for the beautiful chair she presented for
the pulpit.
Fred Hohenstein and family came up from Alma Center in their
new Maxwell and made an over Sunday visit with friends.
School began
Monday in Dist. No. 2 with Norman Schroeder at the helm.
Dr. Gregory and
Mr. Hitchcock returned to Milwaukee Monday after a two days’ hunt with Ross
Galbreath.
