Pleasant Ridge (16 SEP 1915)
The social at Henry Carter’s last Friday
evening was well attended. Nearly $24 was taken in.
Mrs. Helm of Lynn,
who spent last week with her sister, Mrs. Arthur Drescher, attended the social
and returned home Sunday.
Chas. Austin and wife spent last week at the
Geo. Wilding farm, caring for things while George and his wife and daughter took
an auto trip to Milwaukee and other points.
Miss Theo Galligher spent the
week end with Marie Carter.
Will Waterpool went to Appleton to attend
Lawrence University.
Rev. Burrows spent Thursday afternoon at H.O.
Huckstead’s.
Quite a number are filling silos this week. Some are cutting
corn.
Mrs. Sarah Selves spent Tuesday at Ed. Selves’.
Joe Counsell
and wife spent Sunday at Jim Hughes’.
Wm. Waterman and wife are
entertaining company from Stevens Point since Monday.
Ruby Eisentraut,
who spent the summer with her grandmother in Neillsville, is home for school.
Miss C. Smith began school in the Kurth school last Monday.
