Northup, Hazel (19 SEP 1915)
A quiet home wedding was held Sunday evening, Sept. 19, 1915, at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Northup, when their daughter, Hazel, was united in marriage
to Robert Gregory. The bride was attended by her cousins, Miss Jessie Northup
and Miss Beulah Harper and the groom by William Plummer and Harry Gregory,
brother of the groom. Only a few near relatives attended. At 7:00 o’clock the
wedding party marched into the parlor, the wedding march being played by William
Gregory. The bride and groom took their place beneath an arch of golden rod and
evergreen and Rev. Crandall pronounced the ceremony, after which the
congratulations were received.
The bride wore a charming gown of blue
silk and net and the bridesmaids were attired in white. After the ceremony a
supper was served.
The bride is well known in this vicinity and
Neillsville, as she attended school here, and is a lady of pleasing manner and
high womanly qualities. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Gregory of
Humbird, is an engineer, and a young man of good qualities and pleasing manner.
He is well liked by all who know him. Their many friends wish them a prosperous
and happy married life.
